August Everding´s Theatre Academy
August Everding started an initiative for a Bavarian theatre-
academy. 1993 it was founded by the Free State of Bavaria
as a theatre for teaching and learning, organized as
a cooperative of several Munich universities and the Bavarian
state-theatres. It is accommodated in the edifice of
the Prinzregententheater. The following courses are offered:
- a two years master-course: musical theatre and opera-singing
- an intensive course: direction in musical theatre and drama
- stage design and stage costumes
- dramaturgy
Many scholarship holders of the Richard Wagner-Society Munich studied at the August Everding Theatre Academy.
